Our Endorsements for Clifton City Council

Dear Clifton Neighbors,

We all want to feel confident about the future of the city we call home. We want safe neighborhoods, dependable services, responsible spending, and leaders who listen when we have something to say.

With those priorities in mind, the Clifton Republican Club proudly endorses the following candidates for Clifton City Council:

George SIKORA — Ballot #3
Ray GRABOWSKI — Ballot #4
Assad MUJTABA — Ballot #9
Tafari ANDERSON — Ballot #12
Fred BARNES — Ballot #17
Rosemary PINO — Ballot #19

Our endorsement process gave members an opportunity to hear from candidates and consider the leadership Clifton needs. Following screening, candidates were invited to our October 13 Candidate Forum to introduce themselves, answer written questions, and share their priorities.

Each participant had one minute for an introduction, one minute to answer each question, and one minute for closing remarks. Campaign literature, questions from the floor, recording, and live streaming were prohibited, helping keep the private forum orderly and focused. Members in good standing then participated in the Club’s endorsement process.

We believe these six candidates deserve your consideration and support. Our expectations are straightforward: respect taxpayers, support public safety, examine development proposals carefully, address infrastructure needs, and conduct the public’s business openly.

An endorsement also comes with an expectation of accountability. We want our endorsed candidates to stay accessible, explain their decisions, and work respectfully with residents and fellow council members. The concerns people raise about their streets, homes, and neighborhoods deserve attention and follow-through.

We encourage you to get to know these candidates and speak with them about what matters most to you. Your questions and involvement help make Clifton stronger.
