Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Clifton Republican Club may collect, use, protect, retain and share information through clifton.jerseygop.org and related club communications.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, mobile and home phone numbers, mailing address, membership information, legislative or congressional district, volunteer interests, event registrations and RSVPs, newsletter preferences, profile information, uploaded event photos, comments and other information you choose to submit.
The site currently uses Forminator forms for membership applications, volunteer applications, meeting/event RSVPs and newsletter signup. Form submissions may be stored in the WordPress administration system so authorized CRC administrators can review and manage them.
For registered users, we may also store account information, membership status, administrative notes, login activity, security settings and profile preferences needed to operate the member community.
How We Use Information
We may use information to administer club membership, verify members in good standing, communicate about meetings and events, process RSVPs, coordinate volunteers, operate the private member community, manage newsletters and communication preferences, respond to inquiries, maintain security, improve the website and support lawful club operations.
Membership and Private Access
Submitting a membership application or creating a website account does not automatically establish membership status or access to private member resources. CRC administrators review membership standing and assign access separately. Administrative notes, dues information, security information and other internal records are not intended for general member visibility.
Email and Text Communications
Email newsletter and SMS/text preferences are treated as separate communication choices where applicable. Newsletter subscribers will be provided a reasonable way to update preferences or unsubscribe. Service or account-related messages may still be sent when necessary to administer an account, membership, security notice, RSVP or requested transaction.
Text-message consent is not a condition of membership. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency may vary. If SMS alerts are implemented, recipients will be given a method to stop future text alerts.
Photos and Community Content
Members may be permitted to upload club-event photos or community content after the applicable moderation and permission controls are enabled. Uploaders should only submit material they have the right to share and should avoid posting sensitive personal information. CRC may remove content that violates community rules, privacy expectations, law or intellectual-property rights.
Third-Party Services
The site may use third-party services for WordPress hosting, forms, authentication, email delivery, newsletters, calendars, spam prevention, analytics, security, backups, social sign-in and website administration. Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Google sign-in, if enabled, will also be subject to Google account and privacy policies.
Cookies and Security
WordPress and connected services may use cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, preferences, security and site functionality. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information maintained, including role-based access, activity logging and stronger authentication for privileged accounts where available. No internet system can guarantee absolute security.
Meeting Check-In and Location Verification
For meetings where geofenced check-in is enabled, the site may request device location at the time a member chooses to check in. Location is used only to verify that the member is within the approved meeting area and time window. CRC does not use this feature for continuous location tracking and does not intend to retain raw GPS coordinates as a long-term location history. The club may retain the attendance result, check-in time, user account, and any authorized officer override and reason needed for attendance records, audit and security.
Sharing of Information
We do not intend to sell member, volunteer, RSVP or subscriber personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the site or club communications, with authorized club administrators who need the information for club operations, when you direct us to do so, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse or secure the site.
Retention and Requests
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for club administration, security, recordkeeping or legal obligations. Subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs, you may contact CRC to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with your account or submission.
Children’s Information
The member-account features are not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. If CRC creates youth-specific programs, additional consent and privacy procedures may apply.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the website and club services change. The current version will be posted on this page with an effective date.
